My name is Phoebe. I am a digital marketing executive and copywriter by profession but complete and utter food geek by passion, with a love of storytelling through words, images and film.

I have has an insatiable appetite for all things food and drink related for as long as I can remember. For instance, I was apparently already on hard food by the age of 4 months.

My food story began, as most of them do, in the kitchen with my mum helping out with the cooking and baking but especially the eating… I would always delight in licking the wooden spoon or bowl  or sneaking some raw cookie or pie dough here and there. But my biggest talent in the kitchen then, as it remains today, was making the most mess possible – completely unintentionally may I add!

Somewhere in between all of this though I completely fell – hook, line and sinker – in love with cooking, discovering new ingredients and of course the magical combination of eggs, flour, butter and sugar and all that goes along with it.

My time at university too taught me one thing (amongst a few others I suppose) that I love to cook, bake and make. Most of my friends would grumble at the thought of having to make dinner – not me, though. For me, it was my release and creative outlet from history essays.

Since graduating from university in June 2015 I have been working as a copywriter. As much as I have loved discovering and carving out a space for myself in the wonderful world of copy, my true passion lies in food. When not at work I find myself pouring through recipe books, meticulously studying food magazines and am currently thoroughly enjoying Nigel Slater’s biography, ‘Toast.’ It is this passion that has fuelled my constant quest for new food discoveries, kitchen-based experiments and of course this blog.

A Little Tasty, for me, has become a space to document all my culinary adventures, keep track of all my bakes and recipes and hopefully to challenge my home cooking skills and to learn a little about food photography along the way.

If you would like to contact me, please leave me a comment I’d love to hear from you.
